Role Overview
The Business Support Administrator will provide essential administrative and systems support to the UK team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Business Support Manager, the role impacts multiple departments by maintaining office processes, managing communications, and supporting recruitment and business development activities.
Responsibilities

Manage daily administrative tasks autonomously, including placing orders and bookings within budget, travel arrangements, and meeting preparation

Maintain office supplies and conduct regular inventory and audit checks, updating records accurately and confidentially

Support the development and implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives within the office

Coordinate and maintain software systems such as CRM and Quality Management System (QMS) to provide accurate data for Business Development, Marketing, and policy updates

Assist recruitment administration, including induction and onboarding of new employees

Support the Business Development team with travel coordination, event bookings, meeting generation, and general administrative duties

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity

Generate reports to monitor day-to-day operations and escalate any contractual non-compliance

Facilitate effective internal communication and act as lead contact for external suppliers
Requirements
Essential:

Degree-level education
-
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar administrative role

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Highly organised, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and enthusiasm

High integrity with the ability to manage confidential information discreetly

Exceptional attention to detail with a service-oriented mindset

Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems or HR systems

Additional Information
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at the company’s office in Bishop’s Stortford. The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Support Manager and work closely with various internal teams including Business Development and Marketing. The role offers exposure to a dynamic, collaborative environment within an international consulting business.
